Modus Pony is the result of years of home recording by bedroom musician Matt Ackerman. After tracks began accumulating on his computer, the concept formed of "experimental pop," explorative, what-if kinds of ideas formed into succinct instrumental ditties. The album is a collection of bite sized experimental pieces that can be listened to casually, if you just want to hear something odd yet catchy, or in a more cerebral, I-see-what-he-did-there kind of way.
